Helping Light Your Path Forward

Counselling & Psychotherapy in Sydney and Online Across Australia

A place to begin.

There are times in life when what has carried us this far no longer feels like enough. You may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, caught in familiar patterns, or simply aware that something needs to change, even if you can't quite put it into words.

At Lumen Psychotherapy, therapy is more than a conversation. It's an opportunity to better understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we'll create a space that feels thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection.

Working with individuals, couples and groups, I offer evidence-based, trauma-informed care that is tailored to your unique experiences, values, and goals. Whatever brings you here, our work begins with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that lasting change grows from feeling truly seen and understood.

When you're ready, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.

Living room with large floor-to-ceiling windows, beige sofa with white and beige pillows, round white marble coffee table with a plant and a digital clock, large black-and-white forest painting on the wall, white floor lamp, and wooden floor.

When daily life feels heavy, therapy should feel lighter.

Lumen Psychotherapy offers a warm, non‑judgemental space where you can slow down, be truly heard and understood, and begin to make sense of what’s hard.

Amy helps adults and couples navigate anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and identity exploration through evidence-based psychotherapy in face-to-face in Sydney and online across Australia.

Amy’s Philosophy & Approach

I believe therapy has the power to transform the way we experience ourselves, our relationships, and our lives.

I founded Lumen Psychotherapy to create the kind of space I believe people deserve. One that is compassionate, collaborative, and deeply human. A place where you don't need to have all the answers before you begin, but where you can develop greater clarity, self-understanding, and confidence.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, identity, or a season of change, therapy offers an opportunity to pause, make sense of your experiences, and move forward with intention. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to navigate it alone.

My approach is warm, evidence-based, and tailored to you. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model, we'll work together to understand your unique story, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and build meaningful, lasting change.

At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I believe healing begins when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a space where you can show up authentically, explore your experiences without judgment, and feel supported every step of the way.

Lumen Psychotherapy is an inclusive and affirming practice that welcomes people of all identities, cultures, family structures, and lived experiences. I believe healing happens not only within ourselves, but through the relationships and communities that shape who we are.

The word Lumen means light—a reminder that therapy isn't about becoming someone different, but about seeing yourself more clearly and discovering a way forward that feels true to you
