About the Practitioner
I am Amy Pedersen, a registered counsellor/psychotherapist with ACA. I provide person-centred therapy for adults seeking personal growth, self-understanding, and emotional wellbeing.

Scope of Practice

• Therapeutic modalities offered: Person-centred therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts work, Somatic Experiencing, Imagery, Mindfulness

• Conditions/issues addressed: stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, self-esteem/confidence, LGBTQIA+, grief & loss, life changes/transitions.

Please note: Outcomes cannot be guaranteed, and therapy is a collaborative process that is tailored ,to the best of ability, to individual needs.

2. Amendments to These Terms

We (Amy Pedersen of Lumen Psychotherapy) reserve the right to amend, update, or remove any part of these Terms and Conditions at any time. It is your responsibility to review these Terms regularly. Where reasonably practicable, we will endeavour to notify users of any significant changes. Your continued use of the website constitutes your acceptance of the current Terms and Conditions.

• Telehealth may not be suitable for all clinical situations.

• You are responsible for a private, safe, and secure environment during sessions.

• You confirm you are physically located in Australia when participating.

6. Technology Failure & Missed Sessions

• Practitioner technical failures: session may be rescheduled at no cost.

• Client technical failures: session time may continue; cancellation policies apply.

• Clients are responsible for reliable internet, functioning devices, and privacy.

7. Fees, Billing & Taxes

• Session fees are listed on the Fees Page.

• Fees are exclusive of GST unless otherwise stated.

• Accepted payment methods: credit card, Bpay/bank transfer.

• Cancellation and refund policies are stated clearly and can be found here.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

• Personal and health information is collected and stored securely per the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles.

• Information is used solely for therapy and administrative purposes unless consent is given.

• You have the right to access and correct your personal information.

• Records are retained according to professional guidelines and disposed of securely.
